Maryland is set to host Charlotte at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore on Dec. 20, the school announced on Tuesday morning.
The latest addition to the nonconference schedule marks a return Baltimore for the Terrapins, who last December made their first trip to the Charm City since 1999. That matchup, an 82-61 win over Princeton, drew more than 11,000 fans and made scheduling a return trip a priority for Maryland’s staff.
Maryland has played in Baltimore 12 times, boasting a 10-2 record and a six-game winning streak. Before last season’s game against Princeton, Maryland had played in the city eight straight seasons (1992-1999) when Gary Williams coached the team.
