The Maryland basketball team doesn’t always make it easy.
However, the Terrapins were able to grind out a 70-65 win against Nebraska on Wednesday. Guard Melo Trimble paced Maryland with a game-high 20 points (5-of-7) while center Diamond Stone added 16 points, 10 rebounds, and eight blocks in a near triple-double effort.
Stone had the most blocks since Ekene Ibekwe turned away eight shots against Mount St. Mary’s in 2006.
Maryland did turn the basketball over 18 times, but still managed to execute down the stretch. The Terps only had five turnovers in the second half.
