In the best-case scenario, Maryland basketball is losing two of its best players for next season.
Jake Layman and Rasheed Sulaimon have exhausted their remaining eligibility and cannot return to the team, while Diamond Stone, Melo Trimble and Robert Carter Jr. are all expected to decide whether they will declare for the NBA Draft soon.
With that in mind, the projections are starting to roll in. Rob Dauster of NBC Sports has the Terps at No. 16, and you can count him as one person who doesn't think Stone is returning. Stone reportedly declared for the NBA Draft on Monday, but his father refuted those reports.
