Maryland Basketball: Greivis Vasquez to sign with Nets

A former Maryland star has found a new NBA home.

After spending the 2015-16 season with the Milwaukee Bucks, Greivis Vasquez has agreed to a one-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets. Vasquez will likely serve as the backup to point guard Jeremy Lin, who joined Brooklyn in the offseason.

In his lone season with the Bucks, Vasquez only appeared in 29 games because he underwent surgery in December to remove a bone spur in his foot. In limited action, the Venezuelan native averaged 5.7 points and 4.0 assists.

Vasquez has had quite a few stops during his six-year NBA career.
