A former Terrapin is finally getting his shot at the NBA.
Forward Evan Smotrycz will suit up for the Toronto Raptors’ Summer League team this month in Las Vegas. Smotrycz is the third former Maryland player that will attempt to crack an NBA roster this summer.
Rasheed Sulaimon and Dez Wells will both be playing for the Chicago Bulls in Las Vegas as well.
Smotrycz went undrafted out of Maryland after the 2014-15 season. As a senior, Smotrycz averaged 4.7 points and 4.1 rebounds for the Terps.
Smotrycz came to College Park as a transfer after two years with Michigan.
