Dez Wells has zig-zagged in his attempt to make an NBA team, and his latest contract brings him to Greece for the 2016-17 season.
The former Maryland guard has signed with Greek club Doxa Lefkadas, the team announced on Friday.
Wells signed a deal in Germany in August, and was to join the same league as former Maryland teammate Evan Smotrycz. But Wells failed his physical and did not end up joining the Tigers Tubingen. Hamstring issues caused his failed physical, according to InsideMdSports.
Wells spent his first professional season with the Oklahoma City Thunder’s D-League team, the Blue, after going undrafted after the 2014-15 season.
