Maryland baseball vs. VCU final score, with 3 things to know from the Terps' 8-1 win

Maryland baseball has climbed back to .500. The Terps improved their record to 12-12 this spring with an 8-1 thumping of the VCU Rams. A five-run bottom of the second inning pushed Maryland far in front, and the Terps never looked back.

Junior Tayler Stiles tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just seven hits and one walk. The lefty wasn't overpowering (just two strikeouts), but he effectively pitched to contact. The Rams (16-8) couldn't push any runners past second base against him.

The offensive star was second baseman Nick Dunn, who went 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles.
