Maryland baseball fell behind big early on Saturday night and couldn’t recover, as Minnesota (23-24, 12-8 Big Ten) took the second game of the teams’ weekend series, 9-3.
The Terps (24-26, 9-11 Big Ten) have suffered in their weekend series due largely in part to the work of their Saturday and Sunday starters. Hunter Parsons is the only one of the three to have an ERA below 4.00, but his doesn’t necessarily reflect the work he’s done on the mound this season. As the frontline starter for Maryland, Parsons has been the one to make a statement in the series openers.
