Maryland bounced back nicely Saturday after dropping Friday’s series opener, getting strong pitching and efficient offense in an 8-2 victory over Michigan State.
On a stellar offensive day, it was Nick Dunn leading the charge. The second baseman smashed two home runs, reaching 10 in total this season. He finished 3-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBIs.
Once again, Hunter Parsons delivered for Maryland. The righty lasted seven innings, only allowing two runs on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts. As Taylor Bloom is still sidelined with a concussion, Parsons has filled in at the top of the rotation tremendously well.
