Maryland baseball has officially been eliminated from the Big Ten tournament on the last day of the regular season after Michigan State won two of three against Ohio State and the Terps lost the first two games of their series at Indiana.

Coming into this week, Maryland went into a tie for eighth place in the conference and jumped into the Big Ten tournament conversation after sweeping Rutgers at home. Michigan State helped out, losing two of three at Minnesota.

Despite having identical 9-11 records before their last conference series of the season, the Terps held the head-to-head tiebreaker against the Spartans, having won two of three against them earlier in the season.
