Maryland continued to fill out its class of 2016 recruiting class Thursday night, picking up commitments from a pair of defensive back prospects.
South Carroll (Md.) safety Silas Kelly became the seventh local prospect to join the class Thursday, tweeting out his pledge shortly after receiving his offer from Maryland Coach Randy Edsall. Kelly, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds, is the second safety to commit to Maryland this month. The Terrapins also secured a pledge from Ceder Cliff (Pa.) safety Mike Viti on June 14.
