A sense of normalcy returned to the Maryland men’s basketball team after its win over Georgetown on Tuesday night, not to mention a sense of relief.
“I think it’s a relief that the Georgetown game’s over,” Maryland coach Mark Turgeon said Thursday before his team practiced Friday for Rider. “Since it hadn’t been played in 30 years [actually 22], there was a lot on our plate.
“Personally I thought all the pressure was on us being the higher-rated team, being in our building. They were coming off a loss and we played like it most of the game.
