Maryland officially released its men’s basketball schedule on Thursday, which features plenty of local flavor and is highlighted by return games against Georgetown and Oklahoma State.
After hosting Catawba College in an exhibition on Nov. 5, Maryland will open the regular season on Nov. 11 when it hosts American. That will begin a string of matchups against local teams: the Terps will travel to Georgetown on Nov. 15, meeting the Hoyas at Verizon Center as part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games. It will be a rematch of last year’s thriller in College Park, a 75-71 Maryland win that marked the first meeting between the schools in the Washington area in 22 years.
