Former Maryland guard Kevin Huerter wears No. 3 because of Dwyane Wade, and on Monday night, he had a special moment with the future Hall of Famer.
After the final buzzer of the Miami Heat’s 114-113 win over Huerter’s Atlanta Hawks, Wade tracked down the rookie and ask to swapped jerseys. A surprised Huerter obliged, and the two had a brief moment after the exchange.
Wade learned Huerter wore his number growing up and had grown to like his game, so he decided to surprise him with the jersey switch the last time they played, which was Monday night.
