A big weekend for Maryland sports just got even bigger.
The Terrapins men’s basketball team received a commitment from 2016 guard Kevin Huerter on Monday.
Huerter joins St. John’s College (D.C.) point guard Anthony Cowan to make up Maryland’s 2016 class. According to 247Sports, the Terps have the 2nd best class in the Big Ten and the 11th overall on the national level.
The Shenendehowa (NY) guard is a four-star recruit that is ranked No. 64 overall and the No. 12 shooting guard, according to 247Sports composite rankings. He is also rated as the No. 4 player in the state of New York, just behind guard Rawle Alkins.
