Junior-college linebacker and former Mount Saint Joseph standout Ahmad McCullough has committed to Maryland’s Class of 2018 and will enroll this summer.
The Hutchinson Community College recruit committed last month to Minnesota’s Class of 2019, but he announced Tuesday night that he was switching schools and classifications.
The 6-foot-2, 219-pound McCullough earned All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association honors and an invitation to the prestigious Big 33 Football Classic as a Gaels senior in 2016. Rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, he also had offers from Rutgers and Colorado.
McCullough’s older brother Jeremiah (Mount Saint Joseph) is also in the Class of 2018, but as a Kansas recruit.
