Jordan McNair’s parents have taken a legal step towards suing the University of Maryland for their son’s death. The law firm representing Martin McNair and Tonya Wilson filed forms notifying the state of their intent to sue, ESPN reported Tuesday night.
The firm of Murphy, Falcon & Murphy filed a “notice of claims,” according to ESPN, giving the McNairs the right to sue within the next year. The filing claims damages of more than $30 million and names head coach DJ Durkin, former strength and conditioning coach Rick Court and head athletic trainer Wes Robinson as “other persons involved.
