Peter Schmuck, columnist: It's not complicated. The Jayhawks really are that good. The Terps played well in the first half and played hard throughout, but they got in foul trouble early and the oldest-looking player in college basketball schooled them all night. Throw in the fact that the Terps continued to struggle from the 3-point line and even had trouble at the free-throw line and it just wasn't meant to be. Maryland had a very good season, but after opening up ranked third in the nation, it's hard not to think it could have been better.
