Julie Wright was named head softball coach at Maryland today, athletic director Kevin Anderson announced today. Wright has led Idaho State to three straight Big Sky titles.
“We are excited to welcome Julie to our Maryland Athletics family,” Anderson said. “She has done a remarkable job at Idaho State. Julie brings outstanding energy and passion to our program. Throughout her accomplished coaching career, she has been committed to successfully developing students both academically and athletically.”
Wright has spent the last five seasons as Idaho State head coaching, winning 126 games.
