No. 7 Maryland men’s basketball will host the Rhode Island Rams for the second game of the season Saturday night.
The Terps come into the matchup after a solid first game that saw them defeat Holy Cross 95-71. Offensively, Maryland hopes to have a better performance from behind the arc after shooting just 18.5 percent on three-pointers.
Sophomore Jalen Smith will look to continue his dominant play from the season opener, when he scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in only 25 minutes of action. Smith’s former high school teammate Darryl Morsell will also look to continue his strong play on both ends of the floor after scoring 15 points and snatching three steals in the opener.
