After a historic 444-yard rushing performance carried Maryland to victory in last week’s game against Bowling Green, the Terps return to College Park for their home opener Saturday sitting at 2-0.
Ty Johnson and Tayon Fleet-Davis each had over 100 rushing yards in Maryland’s 45-14 rout over the Falcons last week. Temple’s defense has allowed 177 rushing yards and 27.5 points per game in losses to VIllanova and Buffalo. Looking at these numbers, it’s possible Maryland’s offense will have another high-scoring performance against the Owls.
Saturday’s game against Temple is the first matchup between these teams since 2012, when Randy Edsall’s Terps traveled into Philadelphia and won 36-27.
