Maryland football is set to play its first Big Ten East matchup of the season at Penn State Saturday afternoon.
The Terps are coming off their largest fourth-quarter comeback in program history, topping Minnesota, 45-44, last Friday evening in College Park. The last Friday night affair before that was a 59-0 dismantling by the Nittany Lions before the sixth-largest crowd in Maryland Stadium history on Sept. 27, 2019.
Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa received several honors after completing 26 of 35 passes for 394 yards, rushing for 59 yards and accounting for five touchdowns last week, and redshirt senior running back Jake Funk delivered 221 yards on the ground.
