Maryland men’s basketball puts its six-game winning streak on the line Friday night against Ohio State to open up a difficult two-game road trip.
The No. 19 Terps survived a furious 21-point comeback from Wisconsin Monday night, eventually coming out on top 64-60 thanks to Anthony Cowan Jr.’s late-game three. Cowan led the team with 21 points, while Eric Ayala, Bruno Fernando and Jalen Smith added double-digit points. However, Fernando fell into foul trouble in the second half, and the Terps struggled to contain the Badgers from there.
The league gauntlet continues against Ohio State, and a repeat performance of that second half could spell trouble in a tough road environment.
