The Maryland men’s basketball team exorcised a few recent ghosts here Sunday: two one-sided losses to Ohio State at Value City Arena the past two seasons, a season-ending loss to West Virginia last year at nearby Nationwide Arena.
After their biggest victory of the season Thursday night, over No. 3 Iowa at Xfinity Center, the No. 8 Terps showed some of the toughness they lacked in their three previous losses this season — all on the road — by beating Ohio State, 66-61.
Sophomore guard Melo Trimble led Maryland (19-3, 8-2 Big Ten Conference) with 20 points.
