Maryland basketball has three available scholarships now. Jaylen Brantley announced Monday that he’d be leaving the program as a grad transfer, and the team lost Melo Trimble to the NBA Draft and Micah Thomas to transfer last month. With at least one of those scholarships, expect the Terps to target a grad transfer that can contribute immediately.
Before Brantley’s transfer, the frontcourt was clearly the area that needed the most strengthening. Now, it would be surprising if Maryland didn’t try to add to its backcourt during the offseason.
