Maryland continued to fill out its class of 2017 recruiting class on Saturday, picking up a commitment from three-star wide receiver Sean Nelson.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Nelson, who plays at Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Ga., is a consensus three-star prospect who is rated by 247sports as the 83rd-best wide receiver in the country. His recruitment included offers from a number of other schools, including Louisville, West Virginia, Arizona and Minnesota, among others.
Nelson becomes Maryland’s eighth commitment in the class of 2017 and the first since last week’s pledge by Joshua Kaindoh, a five-star defensive end from IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.
