No. 21 Maryland men’s basketball officially kicks off its season against Quinnipiac at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Terps are returning key players in senior guard Eric Ayala, junior forward Donta Scott and junior guard Hakim Hart. Head coach Mark Turgeon also picked up graduate guard Fatts Russell from Rhode Island and junior center Qudus Wahab from Georgetown in the transfer portal.
Beyond the projected starting five, the Terps added freshmen Julian Reese and Ike Cornish from Baltimore as well as Xavier Green (Old Dominion), Pavlo Dziuba (Arizona State), Simon Wright (Elon) and Ian Martinez (Utah) from the transfer portal.
