After three seasons at Maryland, Chris Beatty is reportedly joining the Pittsburgh staff as wide receivers coach.
During his time in College Park, Beatty served as wide receivers coach and associate head coach, adding co-offensive coordinator duties in 2018. His FBS coaching career also includes stops at Virginia, Wisconsin, Illinois, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Northern Illinois. Pitt will be his eighth stop since 2007.
Beatty was long considered a potential retainee by new Terps head coach Mike Locksley, but it appears none of Maryland’s incumbent assistants will remain on staff (they were all removed from the team’s coaches page before Locksley announced six new hires last week).
