Former Maryland women's basketball player Kristi Toliver was hired to the Washington Wizards’ staff as an assistant coach/player development for the 2018-19 season, Wizards head coach Scott Brooks announced Tuesday.
Toliver, 31, comes to the Wizards' bench after helping lead the Washington Mystics to the 2018 WNBA finals. She also assisted the Wizards' coaching staff during 2018 NBA Summer League and training camp.
Toliver has been in the pros for 10 seasons. She was originally drafted third overall by the Chicago Sky in 2009.
