Former Maryland goalie Zack Steffen reportedly heading to Manchester City

Just four years after starring at Ludwig Field, Zack Steffen appears to be headed to one of the best soccer clubs in the world.

The Columbus Crew goalkeeper appears to be headed to defending English Premier League champion Manchester City, as first reported by The Athletic’s Paul Tenorio.

While details of the transfer have not been announced, multiple sources told Tenorio that the deal is between $7 and $10 million. At Manchester City, Steffen will back up Brazilian goalie Ederson, who became the starter after Claudio Bravo suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in August.
