Former Maryland men’s basketball guard Dion Wiley will spend his final season at Saint Louis, he confirmed Sunday night on Twitter.
The Oxon Hill native and former four-star recruit announced March 28 that he would be leaving the Terps as a graduate transfer. Under former Oklahoma State coach Travis Ford, the Billikens are expected to challenge for the Atlantic 10 Conference title this season.
As a redshirt junior in 2017-18, Wiley started 16 games and averaged 5.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game, all career highs. When Wiley announced his decision to transfer, citing “a desire to play a prominent role for a program in a different area,” starting wing Kevin Huerter was seen as likely to return for his junior season.
