Former Maryland guard Dez Wells will play for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA’s Las Vegas summer league, according to a report by Comcast SportsNet.
This will be his first taste of summer league play, as Wells wasn’t able to compete last year due to a thumb injury. The Vegas summer league runs from July 8-18 on UNLV's campus.
Wells signed with the Washington Wizards after going undrafted in 2015, but declined their training camp invite, going to the Oklahoma City Thunder instead. He scored one point in five preseason minutes with the Thunder, who waived him before the start of the regular season.
