Former Florida defensive back J.C. Jackson is planning to enroll at Maryland and will arrive on campus this week, according to a report from 247sports.com.
The late addition of Jackson, who was once considered a top prospect in the class of 2014, would bolster Maryland’s secondary ahead of the start of fall camp in early August. It also provides Jackson, who is immediately eligible, with a second chance at the Division I level after legal problems nearly derailed his career in 2015.
Maryland athletic department officials did not immediately confirm the report on Sunday evening.
