Experienced Michael Dunn provides steady presence on Terps' O-line

Michael Dunn arrived at Maryland in 2012 as a walk-on, an unheralded recruit after his high school career at Whitman in Montgomery County.

Four seasons and 37 consecutive starts later, Dunn was selected to attend the Big Ten Conference media days in Chicago as a representative for Maryland alongside star cornerback Will Likely and standout linebacker Jermaine Carter Jr.

It was the latest turn in an unlikely career that begins its final chapter this week.

“Never would have expected that coming in as a walk-on freshman, five years later I'd be going into my senior year at Big Ten media day with 37 starts,” Dunn said in late July in Chicago.
