Maryland defensive tackle David Shaw is now Montana defensive tackle David Shaw.
He’s transferring from the Terps after a redshirt sophomore season during which he did not record a stat. Shaw’s Maryland career got off to a promising start when he played in seven games as a true freshman. He seemed destined for good things when he started the first four games of his sophomore season, but an elbow injury kept him out for the rest of 2015.
Under new head coach DJ Durkin in 2016, Shaw only played in six games, recording one tackle.
From a Montana release:
With the Terrapins undergoing a staff change after the 2015 season, Shaw began to examine his options for a defensive unit that fit his style of play.
