Defensive tackle Adam Mclean assured fans he would be "back in a couple months" after leaving Maryland due to an eligibility issue in September.
Now the four-star recruit, who was the consensus top-rated signee in the Terps' class of 2015, says he was recently being recruited by new South Carolina head coach Willl Muschamp, who was still Auburn's defensive coordinator at the time. Neither McLean nor the university has said anything to suggest McLean won't ultimately come back to Maryland.

McLean confirmed later that Muschamp was recruiting him for the Gamecocks just before taking the Auburn job.
