Maryland men's basketball junior guard Melo Trimble received All-America honorable mention by the Associated Press on Tuesday. Trimble, who averaged 16.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists, received honorable mention for the second straight season. The first team was composed of guards Frank Mason III of Kansas, Josh Hart of Villanova and Lonzo Ball of UCLA, plus forwards Caleb Swanigan of Purdue and Justin Jackson of North Carolina. Votes were based on the regular season and conference tournaments. Mason was the only unanimous selection, receiving all first-team votes from the same 65-member national media panel that selects the weekly AP Top 25.
