The father of Maryland freshman center Diamond Stone refuted a report Monday night that his son will declare for the NBA draft but retain the possibility to return to school by not hiring an agent.
The report, from Cleveland.com’s Chris Haynes, cites NBA sources. CBS Sports national college basketball insider Jon Rothstein also reported Monday night that Stone is “not expected to return to Maryland despite not signing with an agent.”
But Stone’s father, Bob Stone, said Monday night that no decision has been made yet. A Maryland spokesman said the school could not confirm the Cleveland.
