While some Maryland fans have lost faith in the future of the men’s basketball program, the media apparently have not.
Three outlets have Mark Turgeon’s team in their way-too-early Top 25 for 2018-19.
The Athletic ranked Maryland No. 18, third among Big Ten teams behind Michigan State (No. 11) and Penn State (No. 17) and ahead of both Michgan (No. 23) and Purdue (No. 25).
“Had the Terps returned [Justin] Jackson and [Dion] Wiley, they probably would have been in the top 15,” The Athletic reported.
