After a scary moment in Saturday’s 31-30 loss to Penn State, Maryland kicker Brad Craddock is optimistic he’ll be ready for this weekend’s game at No. 10 Iowa.
In the fourth quarter, Penn State cornerback Grant Haley dove into Craddock’s right leg on a 36-yard field goal attempt. The kick was good, but Haley was flagged for roughing the kicker and Craddock was helped off the field. He returned to hit a 29-yard attempt a few plays later to cut the Nittany Lions' lead to 31-30. On Sunday, interim coach Mike Locksley said Craddock had a right ankle injury.
