Indianapolis Colts linebacker and former Maryland star D'Qwell Jackson is being sued by the pizza-delivery man he allegedly assaulted early last year, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Jackson was arrested in February after police said he got into an altercation with Jose Bonilla-Fuentes, 41, over a parking spot in Washington. He now faces a civil lawsuit for assault and battery, according to online court records. An initial scheduling conference has been set for April 29.
He faces a misdemanor charge in the matter. A nonjury trial is scheduled for March 9.
Jackson signed with the Colts in 2014, agreeing to a four-year deal worth about $22 million.
