Maryland basketball beat a KenPom top-50 team in Oklahoma State in a thriller on Saturday night, but a loss at home to Pitt earlier in the week cost the Terps a return to the AP top 25. The team dropped from just outside of the rankings at No. 26 a week ago to No. 32 this week, going from 126 votes to nine.
The Terps haven’t been ranked since the preseason poll where they were slotted at No. 25.
The 8-1 Terrapins have been winning, but not convincingly, having taken six of their eight wins by six points or less.
