The Maryland men's basketball team is the No. 2 team in the country in this week's Coaches Poll, out on Monday afternoon. The Terps tied with Villanova with 11 first-place votes and missed the top slot by four points.
The Terps haven't been the highest-ranked team in the country in either major poll since they won a national championship under Gary Williams in 2002. They've never had the top ranking in the AP Top 25, which will be released later in the day on Monday, although it is likely they will slot in at No. 2 in that poll this week.
