The Maryland men's basketball team fell to No. 7 in this week's Coaches Poll, ahead of the AP Top 25's release later on Monday afternoon. The Terps had been No. 5 in last week's polling.
The Terps lost to Michigan State on Saturday night, 75-64. A few nights earlier, they needed overtime to beat Northwestern at home, adding up to an ultimately unimpressive week in Big Ten play. Maryland hosts Iowa on Thursday night in what has shaped up as one of the league's premier games of 2016.
There are five Big Ten teams ranked: Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Indiana and Purdue.
