Brandon Ross passes 2,000 career rushing yards

During the first half against Ohio State, Brandon Ross joined an exclusive club.

Ross became the 12th player in Maryland history to rush for 2,000 yards.

Ross only need 13 rushing yards coming into Saturday’s game to top the 2,000-yard mark. In the first half, the Delaware native carried the football four times for 18 yards.

Quarterback Perry Hills led Maryland with 97 yards on the ground in the opening half.

Ross is 171 yards from getting into the top 10 rushers in Maryland history. Alvin Blount and Willie Joyner are currently are two backs that are ahead of Ross.
