Maryland football still has a chance at landing Anthony McFarland, but DJ Durkin and his staff will have to wait longer than expected to hear his decision.
The four-star running back from DeMatha Catholic High School (Hyattsville, Md.) was expected to announce Wednesday, but he’s pushing that back for the time being.
McFarland is the second Maryland target to delay his decision this week, joining four-star corner Tariq Castro-Fields, who moved his announcement date to National Signing Day. Experts predicted Castro-Fields to commit to Penn State before he delayed his decision, and McFarland was considered a Miami lean before this announcement.
