The Gossett Team House was as quiet as a funeral parlor on Sunday afternoon. Off the facility’s main hallway, where Randy Edsall’s photo as head coach still hung just hours after his firing, some players ate in the cafeteria and made very little sound. The team was introduced to its new reality earlier in the day in a meeting with offensive coordinator Mike Locksley, who told them that some changes were coming now that he is replacing Edsall as the team’s interim coach.

These won’t be “wholesale changes,” Locksley explained during a solemn news conference on Sunday afternoon, but he will attempt to impart his own coaching philosophies on the team in the coming weeks.
