Megan Whittle and Connor Kelly are both nominees for the prestigious Tewaaraton Award, which will be handed out at Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian Thursday. The ceremony will start at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on LaxAllStar’s YouTube channel, Facebook page, Twitter account and on the Tewaaraton’s website.
Kelly and Whittle will join four other men’s and women’s nominees for the award, which has been given to the most outstanding player in men’s and women’s lacrosse, respectively, since 2001. Maryland’s Jen Adams, Caitlyn McFadden, Katie Schwarzmann, Taylor Cummings and Zoe Stukenberg have combined for eight of the 17 awards on the women’s side, while Matt Rambo became the first Maryland men’s lacrosse player to win the award last year.
