The 2020 NFL Draft will officially get underway Thursday night, with teams participating in a virtual draft for the first time in league history due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are numerous Maryland football players hoping to hear their names called over the three-day draft, including Antoine Brooks Jr., Sean Christie, Isaiah Davis, Tino Ellis, Javon Leake, Marcus Lewis, Tyler Mabry, Anthony McFarland Jr. and Ellis McKennie.
Brooks, Leake and McFarland were the only three out of group to have a chance to compete in front of teams, as they were all invited to the NFL Combine and the other Terps’ pro days had to be cancelled with the coronavirus outbreak.
