Maryland basketball’s 2018 recruiting class is looking strong, but it won’t include five-star point guard Devon Dotson.
Instead, it’s Kansas landing the No. 24 overall player and the No. 6 point guard in the country, per the 247Sports Composite. The Charlotte, North Carolina, native becomes the second major Maryland target to commit to the Jayhawks this cycle, joining four-star forward Silvio De Sousa in Lawrence.
Dotson couldn’t be swayed by AAU teammate and four-star Maryland commit Aaron Wiggins, and wasn’t turned off by Kansas’ potential involvement in the FBI/Adidas investigation. He’s the Jayhawks’ third commit for 2018, joining De Sousa and four-star center David McCormack.
